A sneak peek at SOLAR SISTERS + ADAPTATIONS to come!
Creative duo Amit Tishler & Elliot Sperl are back, and this time they are breaking away from supernatural horrors to dive into a more friendly middle-grade sci-fi comedy with artist Virginia Salucci. SOLAR SISTERS from Papercutz is a story for ages 7-12 that features a washed-up moon kid and an accidental alien superstar with a lesson that fame isn't always worth the spotlight.
You can expect SOLAR SISTERS to hit shelves on October 13th, 2026, in a trade paperback and hardcover format. That's not all, though; this universe will expand beyond a graphic novel into an original K-Pop EP as well as a tabletop game
We have a look at SOLAR SISTERS, the K-Pop EP, Nova Starr: Solar Cyclone, as well as the tabletop game Stardom: The Solar Sisters Game, from Lichenwood Games and 10 Forward Productions, down below!
SOLAR SISTERS - THE GRAPHIC NOVEL

Writers - Amit Tishler & Elliot Sperl
Artist - Virginia Salucci
Colorist - Giulia Zocca
Letterer - Taylor Esposito
Phoebe Dust’s days as a child star are over. Born and raised on the moon, she’s shocked to discover her mom’s tourist trap, the Lunar Link, is deep in debt and circling the drain. Determined to save it, Phoebe hatches a plan that accidentally rockets her alien sister, Luna, into interstellar superstardom. Overnight, the Lunar Link is swarmed with tourists, the perils of fame close in, and Nova Starr, the galaxy’s most ruthless influencer, is plotting to claw the spotlight back by any means necessary. With the forces of fame, fortune, and cutthroat rivals pulling from every direction, Phoebe must keep her family’s future from being blown into stardust.
“Solar Sisters holds a special place in my heart,” Tishler said in a statement accompanying the announcement. “Every character in our story struggles to find a healthy balance between self-fulfillment and sacrifice, which is a particularly poignant struggle for anyone working in the arts. This adventure is optimistic, colorful, and wholesome, with its characters and world inspiring the production of an entire galaxy of creations. With an original graphic novel, tabletop game, and K-POP EP already on the way, the Solar Sisters universe is going to be absolutely stellar (pun most certainly intended).”

“We created Solar Sisters to inspire others with a scifi roller-coaster ride that takes our readers over the moon, across the Kuiper Belt, and back,” added Sperl. “Juggling elements of slapstick humor, family drama, and over-the-top action, this spacefaring adventure explores what it means to be true to yourself through the telescopic lens of our star-studded cast. It may not be down-to-Earth, but we think this story about a ragtag family and their adopted alien daughter aims high and will hopefully hit home for everyone. After all, it’s not rocket science…just a tale as old as space-and-time.”

NOVA STARR - SOLAR CYCLONE Music EP.

Specs: 3 Original songs.
Genre: K-POP.
Release: October 2nd, 2026.
By: Lyrics by Amit Tishler, Music by Alon Kaplan.
Details: Look, I can explain…
Oh wait, that’s right. I don’t owe you an explanation. Creatively, this adaptation is going to kick more butts than you can even conceive, and working once again alongside my longtime collaborator, the incredible composer Alon Kaplan, is an honor and a privilege. On the business front, there’s a lot I want to say but can’t at this stage. I’ve been taking some big swings with this project and pulling at every string I have, and all I can say at this point is that if all goes according to plan, this may just end up being the most heavily publicized SOLAR SISTERS project.
Don’t worry… if we manage to get our last domino piece in place, you’ll know!
Either way, this EP is going to blow your mind.
