Neil Kleid kicks off the spooky season with a new HORROR title
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory meets IT in award-winning author Neil Kleid's latest horror sensation.

Award-Winning Graphic novelist Neil Kleid (Ninety Candles, Spider-Man: Kraven's Last Hunt, The Phoenix Chase) is set to drop his newest title from Blackstone Publishing, called Return to the Motherfreaking Fun Factory.

Return to the Motherfreaking Fun Factory will serve as Kleid's first dive into an original horror novella, and reviewers are already describing it as demented and twisted. Preorders are currently live on Bookshop until the end of tonight, and best of all, you can get a discount for ordering a Paperback or a Hardcover!

Writer: Neil Kleid

Publisher: Blackstone Publishing

Genre: Horror

Page Count: 272

Description: Ten years ago, five children were lured into the dark machinations of a twisted, whimsical toymaker, forced to compete for a grand prize--all the toys they could ever dream of--and, as happened, their lives.

Today four of those kids--now morally ambiguous young adults--seek revenge on the insane man who terrorized them, and once again find themselves trapped inside his factory of horrors, all while attempting to save the fifth member of their group, who "won" the contest ... but was left behind.

This book, my first original (non-licensed) prose novella, is a gripping and creepy mash-up of “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” and Stephen King’s “IT.” The book is an idea I’ve been nursing along for years, ever since I mentioned it seven years ago on social media. Realizing there was more opportunity there than just another random post, I spent a lot of time thinking about the characters, morals, and DNA of Roald Dahl’s book —and subsequent film adaptations — and how they might easily lend themselves to a very unique, very entertaining revenge story which goes off the rails super quickly, in a most horrible, terrifying manner. Had a blast conceiving and writing this one, am thrilled that Blackstone Publishing is putting it out into the world, and I hope folks will check it out!” - Neil Kleid
